This project explores the implementation patterns of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and generalized civic access laws within local governments, using the Italian case as a primary comparative model. It investigates the structural and behavioral barriers to freedom of information, examining bureaucratic discretionary biases and administrative compliance.
Methodology: Field experiments, comparative public policy analysis, and a structured Citizen Science framework designed to involve students and local communities in evaluating public policy and administrative transparency.
