Giorgia Nesti

Giorgia Nesti is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Padova, where she teaches Public Policy and Public Administration. She directs the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Political Science and the Observatory on Urban Policies (URBES).

She received her BA in Political Science from the University of Padua and her PhD in Comparative and European Politics from the University of Siena. She is a member of the Board of the Doctoral Programme Resources for a New Public Administration at the University of Milan-Bicocca. She currently serves as Associate Editor of Information Polity and is also a member of the Scientific Boards of Le Istituzioni del Federalismo and Regional Studies and Local Development.

Her research interests focus on innovation in local policy and local governance, smart-city governance, digital innovation, e-government, AI in the public sector, and European policies for urban development.
